I love terrariums, I just think they are super cool. I love this idea for making a terrarium, made out of a pickle jar!!! That's freaking sweet. To see the full details on the project, go here. Pardon me, while I go eat a pickle... Goodbye Summer 08/31/2010
This is a picture I took during a trip to California this year. I live in Idaho - our "plant" diversity is very low here. I would die to live in a place where I could have a beautiful garden with succulents like this. Isn't it sooo pretty? September is pretty much knocking at our door, that means summer is coming to an end. Goodbye Summer I will miss you :( I made a Rag Quilt! 08/30/2010
I posted awhile back that I was working on a project: I finished it shortly after I posted, but didn't want to share because it was for a gift (and I didn't want the person to see it before I had a chance to give it) Well...I am excited to share with you my very first real blanket/quilt that I've ever made :) Kind of sad, I'm almost 30 and this is the first real blanket I've ever made... oh well, maybe that's a sign I'm maturing :) I present to you: This is one of the things that I feel the picture just doesn't do it justice. But it is super cute, I think my new Great Niece (is there such a thing?) will love it! Mini Garden LOVE 08/27/2010
I found these mini fairy gardens in San Clemente, California. I fell in love with them. (I wish I took more pictures, because they were amazing) I really want to make something like this for my house. Soooo cute! I'm in love: Look at the detail, simply adorable: Isn't that such a fun idea? I need to get my act together and put something like this together soon. Love it! Color Splash your Photos 08/26/2010
Ever wonder how people Color Splash their photos like this: I found a super fab tutorial at My Creative Way , It's seriously so easy, I think even my dog could handle it! Check it out! Cute and Simple Burp Rag 08/25/2010
I taught my 6 year old son how to sew. YES.... SON...he's that cool :) He obviously isn't going to do some massive project, but he helped put together this burp rag for his new cousin. We started with scraps from rag quilt and we made it into a burp rag. It was really simple, but he thought it was totally cool that he made something for the new baby almost all by himself! Of course I had to show it off for him! Way to go buddy! That is one awesome lookin burp rag! Hunger Games 3rd Book Released Today :) 08/24/2010
The 3rd book in the Hunger Games series came out today! I am excited to get my hands on it. I just found it on Amazon for dirt cheap, so I will start reading as soon as it arrives :) Yay You can get your own book here: Whoo hoo Mockingjay :) Rocks! 08/24/2010
I thought I would share this super easy, free idea for your garden! A few months when my Mom came to visit she had my kids help her find flat round rocks. They stacked them up and placed them in my little flower garden. I love it, I think it's super cute. They do fall over now and then, so I am going to glue them together with Gorilla glue or something so they will hold up longer. But heck, where I come from rocks are free, and I love free projects...so if you have free rocks too... this is a simple, cute idea that you can add to your flower beds :) And yep, it pretty much "rocks!" Until next time, |
